Hi I am Prativa, a former doctor with over a decade of experience serving communities in South Africa and the UK. I am also a mother of 2 with a passion for health and healthy lifestyle.
In my journey from practicing medicine to becoming a health coach, one of the most profound realizations I've had is that being healthy is not solely determined by the number on a scale. While weight management is important, true health encompasses so much more than just physical appearance or body weight.
Having witnessed the impact of chronic illnesses on individuals and communities during my years of medical practice, I understand that optimal health is multifaceted and requires a holistic approach. I understand that chronic illnesses often stem from a combination of lifestyle factors, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep quality, and overall lifestyle habits.
My coaching approach emphasizes addressing these underlying factors to prevent and manage chronic illnesses effectively. I believe that true wellness is about feeling vibrant, energized, and balanced in all areas of life. It's about nourishing our bodies with wholesome foods, moving joyfully, managing stress effectively, and prioritizing self-care. It's about cultivating healthy relationships, finding purpose and fulfillment, and embracing a positive mindset.
Moreover, as a parent of two, I am deeply committed to instilling in my children the importance of holistic wellness from an early age. I understand the profound impact that our habits and behaviors as parents have on our children's long-term health and well-being. By modeling healthy lifestyle choices and creating a supportive environment for our children, we can empower them to make positive choices and establish lifelong habits that promote health and vitality.
By shifting the focus away from the numbers on a scale and towards holistic well-being, I hope to empower my clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes that support their overall health and vitality. My goal is to help individuals thrive in all aspects of their lives, so they can live with purpose, passion, and vitality while effectively managing chronic conditions and promoting long-term well-being.
